Discord and YouTube are associated for a new video function

Discord and YouTube are apparently entering an association that will add a new video viewing function to the messaging platform. This new function, which is rightly referred to as see together , has begun to be implemented to select Discord servers now to allow people to try the opportunity to see videos with each other. Neither Discord ni YouTube has made public awards of this new role beyond the gradual launch, so the details about how it will work still be seen.

According to the edge, this new feature is similar to the incorporated choice of discord that allows people to transmit their screens to others, a characteristic with which avid discord users are probably already quite familiar. Watch Together, however, is supposedly built with YouTube in mind with options to create playlists and offer other server members the ability to control video playback.

As you may have guessed anyone who has seen more than a few videos on YouTube, there will also be announcements incorporated in this experience. An emerging notification shared by The Verge showed a list of curiosities to know that it included the notice that you can also see ads during YouTube videos». Discord said in the same emerging window that the application was created by Discord, but is driven by YouTube.

Reportedly, this function will only be implemented on selected servers starting on Wednesday with a broader beta version and a planned release for the coming weeks. Due to that, there is a possibility that Discord users do not see this function available for them for a while, but discord is supposed to be aimed at this function for all at the end of October.

Discord has been updating similarly other parts of your platform during the last months. The service logo, for example, was updated in May along with other assets related to the brand. In July, it was announced that Discord would add threads to the platform to allow people to have branching interactions within the servers that would not subtract value to the general conversation in progress.

Discord has not yet formally announced its plans for the new Watch Together function.
